This year's show celebrated 100 years since the first National Honey Show held at Crystal Palace in 1923. A spectacluar celebration; the show was visited and opened by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal and featured many special additions to the show for the occasion.
The show featured the usual stunning exhibition of show entries including some special additional classes based on those from historical books and records from early shows. Lectures from the programme by world class bee scientists will be released over the coming year on The National Honey Show YouTube channel.
An exhibition of photographs by the renowned French photojournalist Eric Tourneret was a major attraction at the show, as were many other extras to celebrate the centenary alongside all the activities that make this show unique.
Our new book, "Izzie Lizzie Busy Bee" was launched at the show, you can see Claire's stand above at the show and view her talking about the book here.
Lovely children's story book illustrated by Claire, describing the travels of a honey bee across the summer in her quest for food and water to feed the hive. The book is available at £7.99 here.
