Over 100 pollen drawings alongside colour photos of the flowers which they came from. Curiosity and interest in where honey bees had been and what they were bringing back to the hive led to this great interest in pollen. Over the course of about 25 years, Norman collected pollen, noted the source flower, prepared and viewed the pollen through a microscope, and put his technical drawing skills to good effect making drawings of the many and varied individual pollen grains.
